Hydrafacial
Hydrafacial is a non-surgical, safe and effective skin care treatment. This facial uses cutting-edge technology to improve your skin's appearance and health.
Hydrafacial treatments are similar to chemical peels, but they are painless. It does not use harsh chemicals to remove the skin, but instead focuses on exfoliating and cleansing. It gives the skin a healthier, more youthful glow.
A certified aesthetician, or licensed dermatologist, performs the procedure by using a wand. The wand cleans, exfoliates, and removes dead skin from the surface.
There are different kinds of masks (e.g., clay, cactus, cucumber) for different purposes: deep-cleansing, by penetrating the pores; healing acne scars or hyper-pigmentation; brightening, for a gradual illumination of the skin tone. Facial masks also help with anti-aging, acne, crows feet, under eye bags, sagging lids, dark circles, puffiness,[1] and more. Some masks are designed to dry or solidify on the face, almost like plaster; others just remain wet. The perceived effects of a facial mask treatment include revitalizing, healing, or refreshing; they may yield temporary benefits (depending on environmental, dietary, and other skincare factors). There is little to no objective evidence that there are any long-term benefits to the various available facial treatments.[2]
Masks are removed by either rinsing the face with water, wiping off with a damp cloth, or peeling off of the face. Duration for wearing a mask varies with the type of mask, and manufacturer's usage instructions. The time can range from a few minutes to overnight. Those with sensitive skin are advised to first test out the mask on a small portion of the skin, in order to check for any irritations. Some facial masks are not suited to frequent use. A glycolic mask should not be used more frequently than once a month to avoid the risk of burning the skin.
Masks can be found anywhere from drugstores to department stores and can vary in consistency and form. Setting masks include: clay, which is a thicker consistency, and will draw out impurities (and sometimes, natural oils, too) from the pores; a cream, which stays damp to hydrate the skin; sheet-style, in which a paper mask is dampened with liquid to tone and moisturize the skin; and lastly, a hybrid/clay and cream form that includes small beads for removing dead surface skin cells. Non-setting facial masks include warm oil and paraffin wax masks. These different forms are made to suit different skin types (e.g., oily or dry), and different skincare goals or needs (e.g., moisturizing, cleansing, exfoliating). Clay and mud masks suit oily and some "combination" skin types, while cream-based masks tend to suit dry and sensitive skin types. There are also peel-off masks which are great for when you need to remove thin layers of dead skin cells and dirt.[3]
This increases lymph flow and helps eliminate toxins. Hydrafacials provide customized hydration serums and boosters to suit each client's needs.

Oxygen facial
An Oxygen facial delivers visible and immediate results. It's a great way for your skin to look younger and healthier. It is also great for people looking to reduce wrinkles.
An antioxidant rich serum is a must to make the most of your oxygen facial. This will increase your cell turnover process, and reduce the appearance and severity of wrinkles.
This process involves the application of a special cream to the skin. Next, the oxygen molecules are sprayed onto the skin. It is similar to microdermabrasion but oxygen is the active component.
The oxygen-infused skincare will give your skin a boost in collagen production. This makes it ideal to use on those with dry or sensitive skin.
People often opt for oxygen facials. The goal is to achieve a glowing complexion and even skin tone. It offers many benefits such as the ability to improve your skin's texture, tone, and clear up clogged pores.

Platelet-rich plasma facial
The PRP facial, a non-surgical treatment that can improve your skin texture or tone, is an effective and safe option. It can help with acne scarring, as well as wrinkles and fine line treatment. This treatment is popular among athletes and those who wish to appear younger and boost their self-esteem.
In sports injuries, PRP has been used to accelerate the healing and repair of damaged tissue. It is also being studied in dermatology as a treatment for hair loss or wound healing.
Injecting platelets into the skin produces growth factors, which speed up the healing process and increase collagen production. Patients are generally satisfied with the results, even though the effects may not last for long.
Recently, this treatment has been the focus of a lot. It's a novel way to rejuvenate skin and speed up its healing. A member of the medical team will draw blood samples and then use a centrifuge for the separation of the platelets and red blood cells. The platelets can then be concentrated into a plasma rich in platelets.
Blood contains high levels of growth factors. These are proteins that speed up healing. They also contain natural healing powers. They are rich in growth factors which will help the skin heal quickly.
In order to encourage tissue growth, plateletrich plasma can be used on freshly resurfaced hair. These treatments can be used as a non-surgical option to more invasive surgery.
PRP facials take time to reveal their results. Patients will notice a change in their skin texture, tone, and appearance after the treatment. Some patients may experience slight swelling at the injection site. The majority of patients can return to their daily lives the next day.
Anti-aging facial
Anti-aging facials will help you have healthy and youthful skin. They address common signs of aging like wrinkles, loss in elasticity, and uneven skin tone. They can also treat blemishes, and other issues that could affect your skin.
There are many kinds of anti-aging skin care products. Anti-aging facials that contain vitamin C and antioxidants are the most effective. Facials can include chemical peels, massage, or both. Firming serums may reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
As you age, your skin begins to lose its elasticity, resulting in wrinkles, fine lines and age spots. A skin treatment that is rich in antioxidants will help to restore firmness and clarity.
Do your research before you decide to get an anti-aging facial. You can get advice from a qualified skincare professional about the best processes for you. Ask friends and family about local spas.
You should choose the anti-aging facial that suits your skin type, age, and gender. Depending on your budget you may be able to get a treatment every other week, or you could opt for an at-home option.
Anti-aging facials can help you relax, reduce stress, and celebrate who you are. This will make your skin look fresher and more radiant.

You could also opt for a thermal energy treatment facial. This procedure uses suction and abrading to remove impurities, and also produce fibrotic colla.

We get questions from potential patients who come to our Lenexa office for an aesthetic treatments because they want to look younger. We asked Dr. Margolin about his advice to patients who might have unrealistic expectations about aesthetic treatments. Dr. Margolin said, “I tell potential patients the truth: I am an M.D., not a magician. I understand that it’s natural for people to want to look their best. Everyone wants to look their best, so they feel their best. Aesthetic treatments like BOTOX can temporarily reduce lines and wrinkles but these treatments can’t make them look like they did in college or like their favorite supermodel.”
