Hydrafacial
Hydrafacials are a non-surgical and safe treatment for skin problems. This facial uses advanced technology to improve the appearance and health your skin.
The hydrafacial treatment works in the same way as a chemical peel but is completely painless. This treatment does not involve harsh chemicals on the skin but focuses more on cleaning and exfoliating. It gives the skin a healthier, more youthful glow.
A licensed dermatologist (or certified aesthetician) performs the procedure with a wand. The wand simultaneously removes dead skin cells and exfoliates them.
There are different kinds of masks (e.g., clay, cactus, cucumber) for different purposes: deep-cleansing, by penetrating the pores; healing acne scars or hyper-pigmentation; brightening, for a gradual illumination of the skin tone. Facial masks also help with anti-aging, acne, crows feet, under eye bags, sagging lids, dark circles, puffiness,[1] and more. Some masks are designed to dry or solidify on the face, almost like plaster; others just remain wet. The perceived effects of a facial mask treatment include revitalizing, healing, or refreshing; they may yield temporary benefits (depending on environmental, dietary, and other skincare factors). There is little to no objective evidence that there are any long-term benefits to the various available facial treatments.[2]
Masks are removed by either rinsing the face with water, wiping off with a damp cloth, or peeling off of the face. Duration for wearing a mask varies with the type of mask, and manufacturer's usage instructions. The time can range from a few minutes to overnight. Those with sensitive skin are advised to first test out the mask on a small portion of the skin, in order to check for any irritations. Some facial masks are not suited to frequent use. A glycolic mask should not be used more frequently than once a month to avoid the risk of burning the skin.
Masks can be found anywhere from drugstores to department stores and can vary in consistency and form. Setting masks include: clay, which is a thicker consistency, and will draw out impurities (and sometimes, natural oils, too) from the pores; a cream, which stays damp to hydrate the skin; sheet-style, in which a paper mask is dampened with liquid to tone and moisturize the skin; and lastly, a hybrid/clay and cream form that includes small beads for removing dead surface skin cells. Non-setting facial masks include warm oil and paraffin wax masks. These different forms are made to suit different skin types (e.g., oily or dry), and different skincare goals or needs (e.g., moisturizing, cleansing, exfoliating). Clay and mud masks suit oily and some "combination" skin types, while cream-based masks tend to suit dry and sensitive skin types. There are also peel-off masks which are great for when you need to remove thin layers of dead skin cells and dirt.[3]
This procedure also increases lymph flow which flushes out toxins. Hydrafacials are customized to meet the needs of each client.
The treatment can reduce wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging. It can also help to remove acne, sun spots and rosacea.

Platelet-rich plasma facial
A non-surgical, effective procedure to improve the texture and appearance of your skin is called PRP facial. This treatment can treat acne scars, wrinkles, and fine lines. This treatment is popular among athletes and those who wish to appear younger and boost their self-esteem.
PRP has been used to speed up the healing process and repair tissue damage in sports injuries and orthopedic surgery. It is also being studied in dermatology as a treatment for hair loss or wound healing.
When platelets are injected under the skin, they produce growth factors that speed up healing and collagen creation. Although the effects can last several months, most patients are happy with the results.
This treatment has attracted a lot of attention in recent years. It's a novel way to rejuvenate skin and speed up its healing. A medical team member will draw blood from a patient and use a centrifuge (to separate platelets from red blood cell). The platelets are then concentrated and made into a plasma with high levels of platelets.
Blood contains high levels of growth factors. These are proteins that speed up healing. They also have natural healing abilities. They are rich in growth factors which will help the skin heal quickly.
For tissue growth, you can also use platelet rich plasma on freshly resurfaced areas. These treatments can be used as a non-surgical option to more invasive surgery.
PRP facial results take time to show. Patients will notice a change in their skin texture, tone, and appearance after the treatment. Some patients might experience slight bruising near the injection site. Most patients are able resume normal activities within a day.
Anti-aging facial
Anti-aging treatments are intended to give you a youthful, healthy skin. These facials target the most common signs of aging, such as wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity. They can also address skin conditions such as blemishes.

We get questions from potential patients who come to our Lenexa office for an aesthetic treatments because they want to look younger. We asked Dr. Margolin about his advice to patients who might have unrealistic expectations about aesthetic treatments. Dr. Margolin said, “I tell potential patients the truth: I am an M.D., not a magician. I understand that it’s natural for people to want to look their best. Everyone wants to look their best, so they feel their best. Aesthetic treatments like BOTOX can temporarily reduce lines and wrinkles but these treatments can’t make them look like they did in college or like their favorite supermodel.”
