Hydrafacial
Hydrafacial is a non-surgical, safe and effective skin care treatment. This facial uses cutting-edge technology to improve your skin's appearance and health.
Hydrafacial treatments work in a similar way to a chemical peel. However, they are completely painless. It does not use harsh chemicals to remove the skin, but instead focuses on exfoliating and cleansing. It rejuvenates the skin and gives it a youthful, healthy glow.
The procedure is performed by a licensed dermatologist or certified aesthetician using a wand. The wand simultaneously exfoliates, cleans and removes dead cells from the skin's surface.
There are different kinds of masks (e.g., clay, cactus, cucumber) for different purposes: deep-cleansing, by penetrating the pores; healing acne scars or hyper-pigmentation; brightening, for a gradual illumination of the skin tone. Facial masks also help with anti-aging, acne, crows feet, under eye bags, sagging lids, dark circles, puffiness,[1] and more. Some masks are designed to dry or solidify on the face, almost like plaster; others just remain wet. The perceived effects of a facial mask treatment include revitalizing, healing, or refreshing; they may yield temporary benefits (depending on environmental, dietary, and other skincare factors). There is little to no objective evidence that there are any long-term benefits to the various available facial treatments.[2]
Masks are removed by either rinsing the face with water, wiping off with a damp cloth, or peeling off of the face. Duration for wearing a mask varies with the type of mask, and manufacturer's usage instructions. The time can range from a few minutes to overnight. Those with sensitive skin are advised to first test out the mask on a small portion of the skin, in order to check for any irritations. Some facial masks are not suited to frequent use. A glycolic mask should not be used more frequently than once a month to avoid the risk of burning the skin.
Masks can be found anywhere from drugstores to department stores and can vary in consistency and form. Setting masks include: clay, which is a thicker consistency, and will draw out impurities (and sometimes, natural oils, too) from the pores; a cream, which stays damp to hydrate the skin; sheet-style, in which a paper mask is dampened with liquid to tone and moisturize the skin; and lastly, a hybrid/clay and cream form that includes small beads for removing dead surface skin cells. Non-setting facial masks include warm oil and paraffin wax masks. These different forms are made to suit different skin types (e.g., oily or dry), and different skincare goals or needs (e.g., moisturizing, cleansing, exfoliating). Clay and mud masks suit oily and some "combination" skin types, while cream-based masks tend to suit dry and sensitive skin types. There are also peel-off masks which are great for when you need to remove thin layers of dead skin cells and dirt.[3]
The process increases lymph flow, which helps to flush out toxins. Hydrafacials are customized to meet the needs of each client.
This treatment can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can also remove sun spots, rosacea, and acne.
Based on your doctor's assessment, a Hydrafacial may be combined with other treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers or Botox. Your doctor will be able give you targeted supplements, such a Vitamin C brightening treatment or a targeted booster.
Hydrafacials can be applied to your entire face, your forehead, or your nose. Hydrafacials have many benefits. You can expect to feel happier and healthier. You can even find serums that are easy to use at home.
An aesthetician, dermatologist, or other medical professional may be able to help you with a consultation if you are interested. It is important to inform your doctor if there are any allergies, medical conditions, or if you are pregnant.

Platelet-rich plasma facial
The non-surgical treatment of the PRP facial can help improve skin texture and tone. It can help with acne scarring, as well as wrinkles and fine line treatment. This treatment is very popular among athletes, as well as those who want to look younger.
PRP has been used to speed up the healing process and repair tissue damage in sports injuries and orthopedic surgery. It is being evaluated in dermatology for hair fall and wound healing.
The growth factors produced by platelets when injected into skin can accelerate healing and the production of collagen. Although the effects of the treatment may last for several weeks, most patients are satisfied with their results.
Recently, this treatment has been the focus of a lot. This innovative treatment can help heal skin faster and rejuvenate it. A medical team member will draw blood from a patient and use a centrifuge (to separate platelets from red blood cell). The platelets are then concentrated to form a platelet rich plasma.
High concentrations of growth factor proteins, which are proteins that help accelerate healing, can be found in the blood. They also contain natural healing properties. These growth factors are high in concentrations, which means that the skin can heal quickly.
In order to encourage tissue growth, plateletrich plasma can be used on freshly resurfaced hair. These treatments are non-invasive and safe.
PRP facial results can take time to manifest. Most patients will notice a significant improvement in their skin texture after the treatment. Some patients may feel slight bruising around the injection site. Most patients are able resume normal activities within a day.
Anti-aging Facial
Anti-aging treatments are intended to give you a youthful, healthy skin. They target common signs of ageing such as wrinkles or loss of elasticity. They can also treat blemishes, and other issues that could affect your skin.
There are many anti-aging facials. Anti-aging facials that include vitamin C or antioxidants are more effective. Also, facials can incorporate massage and chemical peels. Firming serums may reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
As you age, your skin begins to lose its elasticity, resulting in wrinkles, fine lines and age spots. A facial treatment rich in antioxidants can help restore skin's clarity and firmness.
It is important to do your research before you consider getting an anti-aging facelift. An experienced skincare professional will be able to advise you on the most suitable processes for your needs. Ask your friends for recommendations about spas in their area.
It is important to select the right anti-aging treatment for you. You have two options depending on how much you are able to afford: you can opt for a weekly treatment or an at-home one.
A facial anti-aging facial is a great way for you to relax, release stress, and celebrate your individuality. It will also leave your skin looking fresh and radiant.
There are many types of anti-aging treatments available. Each will benefit your skin. This treatment uses suction and abrasion to remove impurities and create fibrotic collagen.

We get questions from potential patients who come to our Lenexa office for an aesthetic treatments because they want to look younger. We asked Dr. Margolin about his advice to patients who might have unrealistic expectations about aesthetic treatments. Dr. Margolin said, “I tell potential patients the truth: I am an M.D., not a magician. I understand that it’s natural for people to want to look their best. Everyone wants to look their best, so they feel their best. Aesthetic treatments like BOTOX can temporarily reduce lines and wrinkles but these treatments can’t make them look like they did in college or like their favorite supermodel.”
