Pet Treat Contract Manufacturing J-Six Enterprises

Fairview Mills also understands that it's often cheaper to store pet food and pet ingredients in bags than to transport them as loose, bulk products. Fairview Mills is a J-Six Enterprises company. This means that we can transload your bulk pet food ingredients and bag them as per your instructions. This allows you to easily move your products from raw product into ready-to use pet food. For example, send us whole corn. We will unload it and mill it. Then, we'll package it in the way you want. The next step in pet food processing is now that your raw corn has been processed.

THE FAIRVIEW MILLS TREATMENT

You want to ensure that your pet food ingredients are packaged in bags or totes. The pet food ingredient packaging process involves running each pet food product through an analytics lab to verify its moisture levels and nutrient breakdown. We then sift through your ingredients vigorously to remove as much dust and chaff as possible. This sifting helps to improve the quality and safety of your pet food ingredients. It also ensures that every fifty-pound bag contains your product. When you can be sure that a fifty-pound bag of corngluten is indeed fifty pounds, it will help you track inventory more accurately.

Clients who need stackable, manageable bags that can be used individually or in stacks of 50 pound bags will love the fifty pound bags. These bags can be made from different materials and seals. Multi-wall paper bags, which are eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags, are usually sealed by sewing or pinching. Available in sewn or heat seal, there are many polyethylene bags and other polypropylene options. These 50 pound bags can be used as ingredient packaging and not final product packaging. 1000 Pound Tote – Poly Lined

Totes that can carry large quantities of pet foods and pet ingredients with ease are a great option. Our 1000 pound bags are perfect for transporting bulk pet foods ingredients. Because of their box-corner design, super sacks can be stackable on top of one another. After we have run your pet food ingredients through the sifting process, these large bags of two thousand pound capacity are filled with your high-quality products. Frequently Asked Questions

Dry pet foods are made by mixing dry and wet ingredients together to form a dough. In the extrusion process, the dough is heated under pressure, then pushed through a die machine that cuts the kibbles. Kibble size and shape varies according to the product specification. The kibbles are dried, cooled and spray coated.

Typical pet food ingredients include protein sources such as poultry, beef and fish plus vegetables, cereals, vitamins and minerals, combined for a balanced diet. 'Ingredients' is a general term used for raw materials and additives used in pet foods.

While dry milling is less capital intensive, it also yields less ethanol per bushel of corn than wet milling (Rajagopalan, et al., 2005). Wet milling involves steeping the corn for up to 48 hours to assist in separating the parts of the corn kernel.
