Pet Food Grinding J-Six Enterprises

Fairview Mills is also aware that it is more economical to transport and store pet food in bags rather than bulk products. Fairview Mills is one the many J-Six Enterprises divisions. We have the infrastructure to handle your bulk, loose pet food ingredients, and then bag them to your specifications. It is much easier to transport your products from raw product to ready to use pet food. Send us whole corn for example. We can unload it, mill and package it however we need. The next step in pet food processing is now that your raw corn has been processed.

THE FAIRVIEW MILLS TREATMENT

You want to ensure that your pet food ingredients are packaged in bags or totes. Our pet food ingredient packaging system includes running every pet food product through our lab to determine its moisture level, nutrient break down, and other metrics. After that, we vigorously sift the ingredients, to eliminate as much chaff or dust as possible. This helps improve the quality your pet food ingredients. Additionally, it ensures that a fifty-pound bag of pet food is full of your product and not with chaff. It will make it easier to track inventory accurately when you know that a 50-pound bag of corn Gluten is actually fifty pounds.

TYPES OF BAGS AVAILABLE FOR PET FOOD INGREDIENT PACKAGING

Fairview Mills strives to provide solutions for any pet food ingredient supplier that may be facing problems. There are many options for bags: paper, poly, small or large quantities, multiple sealing options and paper and poly bags. Each bag is different and should be considered carefully. Fairview Mills is the perfect choice for contract packaging.

25 Kilogram Bag - Our Smallest Size For Pet Food Ingredient Packaging

Our twenty-five-kilogram bag is the smallest size available for pet ingredient packaging. Fairview Mills, a division J-Six Enterprises', offers pet food ingredient packaging. It is designed for easy transport and storage, but not as final product packaging. This is why many clients choose our super bags, totes and larger capacity bags. Fairview Mills is committed to finding solutions that work for customers. This means we are able to handle your small-scale contract packaging needs. These bags are available in many different configurations and seal methods. Multi-wall paper bags, which are eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags, are usually sealed by sewing or pinching. There are many options for polyethylene bags, including heat sealing and sewn sealing.

50 Pound Bag - Perfect For Pallets

For clients who require stackable bags, fifty-pound bags are an excellent choice. They can be stored individually or in palleted stacks. These bags can be made from different materials and seals. Multi-wall papers bags are an ecofriendly alternative. They can be closed by pinching or sewing. You can choose from a variety of polyethylene bags or polypropylene bag styles, which can either be heat-sealed or sewn. The fifty-pound bags are for ingredient packaging only, and not as finished product packaging. The pet food ingredient packaging can be used for transport and storage.

1000 Pound Tote – Poly Lined

Totes that can store large amounts of pet food or pet food ingredients are helpful when handling them. Our 1000 pound bags are perfect for transporting bulk pet foods ingredients. These sturdy totes are made of poly-lined material for durability and strength. The poly lining will protect your high-quality pet foods ingredients from getting lost in the exterior fabric's weave. These large totes have a large capacity and are intended for easy transportation and storage. Before we fill these large bags of one thousand pounds with your quality products, our sifting process will run your pet foods ingredients through.

2000 Pound Supersack - The largest pet food ingredient bulk storage container

This bulk bag (also known as a Super Sack) is one of our most preferred options for contract packaging. Super sacks have the ability to hold over a ton (or more) of pet food, as well as pet ingredients. These bags are durable and tough. These super sacks can either be stored or transported on their own. They can even stack super sacks on top each other because of their box-corner shape! After we have run your pet food ingredients through the sifting process, these large bags of two thousand pound capacity are filled with your high-quality products. These large capacity containers are not meant to be used as product packaging but for transport and storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dry pet foods are made by mixing dry and wet ingredients together to form a dough. In the extrusion process, the dough is heated under pressure, then pushed through a die machine that cuts the kibbles. Kibble size and shape varies according to the product specification. The kibbles are dried, cooled and spray coated.

Typical pet food ingredients include protein sources such as poultry, beef and fish plus vegetables, cereals, vitamins and minerals, combined for a balanced diet. 'Ingredients' is a general term used for raw materials and additives used in pet foods.

While dry milling is less capital intensive, it also yields less ethanol per bushel of corn than wet milling (Rajagopalan, et al., 2005). Wet milling involves steeping the corn for up to 48 hours to assist in separating the parts of the corn kernel.
