The Wyeth - Tootle Manor at 11th & Charles sts is a historic home. Built in 1879 by William M. Wyeth, it was designed by Mann Architects in Gothic style. They gathered ideas from their European travels and built the mansion in 1883. The Tootles lived here until 1887, when the property was sold.
The mansion includes three floors and one tower. There are more than 40 rooms inside the house. The interior is decorated with beautiful woodwork, handpainted ceilings, and imported stain glass. It is possible to see what it was like living in the 19th century. The Wyeths-Tootle Mansion, located in downtown St. Joseph is a great place to visit. He also served the presidency of the St. Joseph Hardware Company.
