The Wyeth – Tootle Manor is a historic house located at 11th & Charles sts. William M. Wyeth built it in 1879. It was designed in Gothic style by Eckel and Mann Architects. They gathered ideas from their European travels and built the mansion in 1883. The Tootles occupied the house until 1887 when it sold.
The mansion consists of three floors and a tower. The house boasts more than 40 bedrooms. Beautiful woodwork, hand-painted ceilings and imported stained windows are all part of the interior. You can experience life in the late 19th-century. Near downtown St. Joseph, Missouri is the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion.
