The Wyeth - Tootle Manor at 11th & Charles sts is a historic home. Built in 1879 by William M. Wyeth, it was designed by Mann Architects in Gothic style. The family's European travels inspired them to create the mansion, which they completed in 1883. The Tootles occupied the house until 1887 when it sold.
The mansion has three floors, and a tower. The house boasts more than 40 bedrooms. Beautiful woodwork, imported stained glass, and hand-painted ceilings are just a few of the features found in the interior. Visitors can also experience life in the late nineteenth century. He was also an active member of the Wyeth Duck Club as well as the St. Joseph Duck Club as well as Audubon Society. He was also president of the St. Joseph Hardware Company.
