The Wyeth - Tootle Manor at 11th & Charles sts is a historic home. William M. Wyeth built it in 1879. It was designed in Gothic style by Eckel and Mann Architects. They gathered ideas from their European travels and built the mansion in 1883. The Tootles owned the house from 1887 until it was sold.
The mansion includes three floors and one tower. The house contains more than 40 rooms. Beautiful woodwork, hand-painted ceilings and imported stained windows are all part of the interior. The interior allows visitors to experience the life of a late 19th-century resident. Near downtown St. Joseph, Missouri is the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion.
