The Wyeth - Tootle Manor, at 11th and Charles sts., is a historical mansion. William M. Wyeth built it in 1879. It was designed in Gothic style by Eckel and Mann Architects. The family's European travels led to many ideas for the mansion that was built in 1883. The Tootles owned the house from 1887 until it was sold.
The mansion consists of three floors and a tower. The house contains more than 40 rooms. Beautiful woodwork, imported stained glass, and hand-painted ceilings are just a few of the features found in the interior. He was also the president of St. Joseph Hardware Company which he owned and managed.
